Physically based in Hamburg, Germany, but I travel regularly to Oslo and other Norwegian locations.
Rikard holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and an LL.M. in intellectual property. He previously worked in the IP departments at international oilfield service companies and as patent attorney in one of Europe's largest IP firms from 2016-2022. Rikard has authored Patenters gyldighet ‒ materielle betingelser i aktuell norsk og europeisk praksis (Karnov forlag), is an externally appointed member at the Norwegian Appeal Board (Klagenemda for industrielle rettigheter), and has acted as an expert witness and as a technical judge before the Norwegian courts. He is IAM 1000 recommended and has particular competence in patent protection for maritime and offshore industries.
